We are learning about matter, molecules, solids, liquids and gases…I had a really AWESOME science experiment where it involved dish soap and milk's dislike for each other and how they interact on a molecular level…The students had waited for a llllloooooonnnngggg time to do this because they needed to prove that they could be safe with the materials…So, here it is

FUN!!!

I know I have not posted recently but here is what we have been doing:

We read a Native American Story where we learned about how man owned fire…
We used our picture minds to create art that explains each major event of the story…Here is what we have…

My mother dropped by my classroom and she gave our class a pumpkin to celebrate fall…You can guess which season is her favorite!!!

Yesterday we went to our Barnes Community Garden for science time to draw 3 leaves and the sunflower. It was so nice outside that  these sunflowers decided to be very photogenic… Thanks to Waleed's help, he held up some of these sunflowers.

Spelling

Hello Readers,
Yesterday we read a story called Ruby the Copycat and it had some great lessons to learn in there. One overarching theme was being true to ourselves.

We discussed characters and setting too…

After discussing this, we did a crossword puzzle with our weekly vocabulary words…

WELCOME TO OUR CLASSROOM

Good Morning Readers,
We have had a fun-filled first few days with each of us making a coat of arms, t-shirts that represent us, a guest reader, and making structural buildings out of blocks. Below are some photos from this week… More to come!!!

Below is a photo of who Mr. M is…With twinkly lights!!!

During Read Aloud one of my student were very creative and made a blue fire breathing Godzilla!!!

We built structural buildings and each had to withstand Mr. M's strong lungs to survive...

Kaillie is working very hard to make the Beaver table groups building very tall.
Emma is thinking really really hard about making their structure AWESOME!!!

What a brilliant idea to test it out with my lung…Ziyah's structure looks like it is not moving anywhere!!!
Kaillie still making the Beaver's structure tall…
